Platja d’Aro water park is well worth a visit if you have kids. Go early in your holiday as it is expensive. On the up side you can purchase half price and sometimes depending on the promotion you can get free tickets for another visit. This way you will get two visits for the price of one!
If you plan to go then GO EARLY there are large queues to get tickets during the season.
You may be able to purchase tickets on-line see the link .http://www.waterworld.es/uk/
The Plarja d’Aro park is not as busy as the loret de Mar park and in my opinion is more suitable for young children although it is smaller it is easier to get around.
We went several times last year as we had lots of family visiting with kids of varying ages. There is something for everyone but go prepared. The car park is free and large. It is very near the park so not far to walk with the picnic basket.
The picnic areas are very good and you can hire sun beds and sit by the pool if you don’t want to engage in the thrill of the rides. Last year my family shamed me into trying out all the rides! Given that I have teen age children it goes without saying that I am not in my first flush of youth! I will finish by saying the kamikaze ride was akin to a surgical procedure! I’ll leave the rest to your imagination.
The rest of the experience was great fun ( embarrassing your teenagers can be so much fun, well I must have my compensations! )
In summary bring lots of drinks, sun lotion as it washes off on the slides, and hats.Go on a hot day as you spent a lot of time wet and waiting in line.
Wish you were here.
